La Route des vins - The Wine Road

Sutton is a great base for visiting Quebec's first designated wine route : La Route des vins.

  • The first vineyards started production over 35 years ago in the nearby Dunham Valley here in the Eastern Townships. Today 17 wineries offer their wines for tasting and purchase two of which are located in Sutton.
  • Established in 2003 the La route des vins was the first of its sort to be signposted in Quebec and today the 132 kilometre trail links 17 vineyards. Along the way you can also find local produce, picnic spots and art galleries.
  • The web site www.laroutedesvins.ca suggests cycling and driving circuits and details of all the vineyards.
Here is one Winery on the  Wine Route which is very close to Sutton village
